WAI President flag tradition continues, courtesy of a Zoom pandemic adjustment

The Wire Association International (WAI) continues its long-standing WAI flag tradition by presenting the flag to each incoming president. This practice began after a 2015 recommendation to have presidents display the flag at their own companies during their term.

In 2021, WAI presented the flag to President Tom Heberling, Vice President of Southwire Company (https://www.southwire.com), during the first Executive Committee meeting on February 9.

WAI Flag Tradition Across Company Locations

Heberling plans to showcase the WAI flag tradition across multiple facilities. He oversees five Southwire plants and will rotate the flag throughout the year. The first location is the Villa Rica, Georgia plant.
