A management team led by Jamey Little and Melissa Curtis completed a management buyout (MBO) of Roblon US about six months ago. The optical fiber materials supplier now operates as Granite Falls Composites, Inc. (GFC, Inc.). Company leaders say the market has responded strongly since the transition.
โWeโve seen great momentum moving into 2026,โ said Little, CEO/COO of GFC. He said the company continues to grow with key accounts and recently signed supply agreements. These agreements aim to build long-term partnerships as demand rises for BEAD and BABA-compliant materials. BEAD refers to the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment program. BABA stands for Build America, Buy America.
โThe future is bright for the team at Granite Falls Composites,โ Little said.
The ownership transition from the companyโs Denmark-based parent closed on July 17, 2025. Curtis, GFCโs CFO, said the date carried major meaning for the leadership team.
โThat day was more than a name changeโit was a full-circle moment,โ she said. โOur leadership team has a long history in this industry and deep roots in this community. Weโre proud to bring ownership home and position GFC as a reliable, U.S.-based partner for our customers.โ
GFC will continue operating from its facility in Granite Falls, North Carolina. The company plans to maintain continuity in operations, product quality, and customer relationships. At the same time, it will invest in a refreshed brand and stronger service capabilities.
โWhile our name is changing, our mission remains the same,โ Little said. โWe remain committed to being the preferred advanced materials supplier. With local ownership, we can move faster, respond better, and stay more invested than ever before.โ
