Keir International, a Saudi Arabia-based company serving multiple sectors, announced several new contracts for its wire and cable division. The Keir International Saudi Arabia cable contracts mark another step in strengthening the Kingdom’s energy and telecommunications infrastructure.
According to a company press release, Keir International secured two major contracts from Saudi Electricity Transmission Company valued at approximately $44.2 million. These projects involve extending high-voltage underground cables as part of the country’s ongoing infrastructure upgrades.
Both contracts are scheduled for completion by the first quarter of 2025. The first focuses on connecting Al Haram Station with 110 kV underground cables as part of efforts to reinforce major cities in Madinah. Meanwhile, the second extends cables linking West Taiba Station and the Haram Station. Together, these upgrades support the Greater Cities Enhancement Program in Madinah.
In addition to the high-voltage projects, Keir International signed a new contract worth approximately $8 million to develop a fiber optic network for the Saudi Ministry of Interior. This two-year project aims to expand connectivity by linking ministry sites across Riyadh and Makkah Al-Mukarramah regions.
