Oman to invest in new plant

Oman Cables Industry SAOG, based in Al Rusayl Industrial City in Muscat, plans a majorย Oman Cables OAPIL Suhar investmentย to build a new production facility in Suhar, Omanโ€™s industrial capital. This move strengthens the groupโ€™s position in advanced power transmission solutions.

Oman Cables will fund OAPILโ€™s new Suhar facility to manufacture advanced composite core conductors, which support highโ€‘performance overhead transmission lines and grid upgrades. Board Chairperson Cinzia Farise notes that the project broadens OAPILโ€™s operational scope while also boosting profitability and business diversification for Oman Cables.

Founded in 2008, OAPIL already plays a key role in Omanโ€™s aluminum and electrical transmission sectors. Theย Oman Cables OAPIL Suhar investmentย will add specialized composite core conductor production, enabling OAPIL to serve more complex, higherโ€‘value energy infrastructure projects in Oman and in export markets.

The investment also enhances OAPILโ€™s presence in international markets, especially in the fastโ€‘growing energy infrastructure segment. As part of the Prysmian Group family through Oman Cables Industry, the company benefits from a strong regional footprint with offices in Oman, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and KSA, plus an extended MEART network across the Middle East, Africa, Turkey, Russia and India.
