OmniCable HWCC Acquisition Creates a Stronger National Network
OmniCableย has agreed to acquireย Houston Wire & Cable Co.ย (HWCC) in a $91 million deal. The OmniCable HWCC acquisition brings together two industry leaders with complementary strengths in wire, cable, and fastener distribution. By combining resources, the companies aim to create a stronger national presence and deliver greater value to customers throughout the United States.
HWCCโs board of directors has already approved the agreement. Shareholders plan to finalize the transaction during a meeting on May 25. Once the deal closes, HWCC will become a private company under OmniCable, a subsidiary of Dot Holdings Co.
Combining Strengths for Greater Efficiency
The merger unites both organizationsโ advanced logistics and broad product lines. By doing so, they will streamline distribution, improve service quality, and respond to customers faster.
Each brand will keep its existing name and operational locations. Additionally, the company will continue HWCCโs fastener redistribution business, ensuring consistent service for existing clients.

Meanwhile, OmniCable supports electrical distributors nationwide through 14 regional distribution centers. This acquisition strengthens OmniCableโs U.S. market coverage and builds a more robust national supply chain.
