Prysmian Group invests in Sedalia plant

Prysmian Sedalia Aluminum Wire Expansion Overview

Prysmian Groupย has announced a majorย Prysmian Sedalia aluminum wire expansionย at its U.S. manufacturing facility in Pettis County, Missouri. The site already represents a substantial capital investment and now enters a new growth phase to support rising customer demand.

The Sedalia plant produces aluminum building wire for commercial and institutional construction markets across the United States. With this expansion, Prysmian aims to increase capacity, add jobs, and strengthen its distribution reach in the region.

Two-Phase Expansion and Phase One Results

Prysmian plans aย two-phase expansionย of the Sedalia facility. The company has already completedย phase one, aย $3.5 millionย investment that funded new equipment, building renovations, and additional positions.

Phase one included installation of a new machine that significantly boosts the plantโ€™s aluminum building wire output, helping Prysmian respond to high and growing market demand. The project also expands distribution operations in Sedalia and creates more jobs to fully capture this business opportunity.

Supporting Customers and Strengthening Competitiveness

โ€œThe Sedalia plant is an important area of our business serving a growing market,โ€ saidย Giacomo Sofia, Prysmian Group North America COO. He emphasized that this investment plays a key role in supporting customers more effectively.

According to Sofia, phase one not only expands opportunities in Sedalia but also lowers operating costs. As a result, the plant can run more efficiently and remain highly cost competitive. With a long history in the area, Prysmian continues to deepen its footprint and commitment to the local community.
