The Wire Association International’s Midwest and Ohio Valley Chapters have named their scholarship winners. The programs, administered by The Wire Foundation, support academically qualified high school seniors who are active in their communities and are children, grandchildren, or dependents of chapter members in good standing.
Since 2008, the Midwest Chapter has awarded 40 scholarships. The Ohio Valley Chapter scholarship program was established in 2024 and has awarded three scholarships.
Midwest Chapter recipients
Kara Michonski is the daughter of Kenneth Michonski, president of Mico Wire. She is currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where she is seeking a degree in communication sciences and disorders.
Collin Miller is the son of Jeffrey Miller, DAT industrialization manager at Belden Wire and Cable. He is currently attending Indiana University, where he is seeking an advanced degree in physical therapy.
Luke Jenson is the son of Mike Jenson, senior metallurgist at Luvata Copper. He will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he will be seeking a degree in electrical engineering.
Ohio Valley Chapter recipients
The Ohio Valley Chapter awarded scholarships to the following two recipients.
Mia Robillard is the daughter of Brad Robillard, owner of Elk Technologies. She is currently attending Ohio State University, where she is seeking a degree in mechanical engineering.
Andrew Wright is the son of Stephen Wright, regional sales manager at Blachford Corp. He will be attending the University of Dayton, where he will be seeking a degree in mechanical engineering.
