wire Southeast Asia 2022 New Dates Confirmed for Bangkok
Organizers scheduled wire Southeast Asia 2022 New Dates for February 9–11, 2022 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Bangkok, Thailand. The co-located Tube Southeast Asia will run on the same days. Visitors can therefore see wire and tube technology in one efficient trip.
Why the Dates Moved to February 2022
The fairs were originally set for September 22–24, 2021. Organizers shifted them to February to encourage stronger international turnout. In earlier editions, more than 90% of exhibitors came from outside Thailand. These firms represented countries such as Austria, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Japan, and Korea.
Many nations still faced travel limits in late 2021. Because of that, the September schedule no longer fit global conditions. Early 2022 should benefit from broader vaccination progress and easier cross‑border travel. Organizers therefore expect a safer, more positive business climate and better chances for face‑to‑face meetings.
Long-Running Shows With Global Reach
wire Southeast Asia and Tube Southeast Asia first launched in 1997. Since then, they have become key regional events for the wire, cable, tube, and pipe industries. At the 2019 staging, exhibitors from 29 countries participated. That figure highlights the shows’ strong international appeal.
Visitor numbers show similar diversity. Around 45% of trade visitors in 2019 traveled from outside Thailand. They included manufacturers, distributors, technology suppliers, and service firms from across Southeast Asia and beyond. With the updated schedule, the wire Southeast Asia 2022 New Dates aim to maintain—and ideally expand—this global mix.
