With Kris-Tech expansion done, company continues a legacy started 40 years ago

Kris-Tech Wire Builds on 40 Years of Innovation

The Kris-Tech Wire expansion in Rome, New York marks another exciting milestone for the family-owned wire and cable manufacturer. Earlier this year, Kris-Tech Wire completed a major facilities expansion that doubled its production, office, and warehouse space. The project aligns with the companyโ€™s multi-year campaign to expand operations and product lines while reinforcing its long-standing commitment to excellence.

Founded in 1984 by twin brothers Gerry and Glenn Brodock, Kris-Tech has evolved from a small local operation into a leading U.S. manufacturer of industrial wire and cable products. Today, the third-generation company serves a wide range of industries, including building, commercial, and utility sectors across the country.

Doubling Space and Strengthening Capabilities

This expansion in Rome represents the companyโ€™s most ambitious project since opening its Houston, Texas stocking facility in 2022. The increased space supports new production linesโ€”most notably, the expanded tray cable divisionโ€”and adds capacity for storage, training, and employee development.

The additional area also allows Kris-Tech to bring a nearby production facility back to Rome, further strengthening local operations and community ties.

A Message from Leadership

โ€œKris-Tech continues to invest in our people, customers, and community,โ€ said CEO and President Graham Brodock. โ€œThis expansion demonstrates confidence in our business, our team, and our future. We believe this is only the beginningโ€”thereโ€™s more growth to come.โ€

With this growth, Kris-Tech positions itself to continue leading the U.S. wire manufacturing sector while delivering consistent quality and reliability.

Recognized for Regional Impact

Over its 40-year history, Kris-Tech has remained deeply connected to the Mohawk Valley region. In the spring of 2024, the companyโ€™s community leadership earned two prestigious honors.

  • Theย Mohawk Valley GEAR (Growth, Energy, and Revitalize) Awardย from theย CNY Business Journalย recognized Kris-Techโ€™s contributions to jobs, economic growth, and local development.
  • Theย William K. Guglielmo Legacy Awardย from theย Chamber Alliance of the Mohawk Valleyย honored the companyโ€™s lasting impact on the regional business community.

These awards reflect Kris-Techโ€™s dedication to strengthening both its workforce and its hometown roots while expanding nationally.

Looking Ahead

As Kris-Tech continues to grow, the company remains focused on innovation, service, and community engagement. Its investment in Rome underscores the companyโ€™s belief in American manufacturingโ€”and its confidence in a vibrant future for the Mohawk Valley region.
