Organizers continue finalizing plans for the XI International WAI Poland Chapter Seminar, scheduled for November 23–24, 2023. Early details outline a two-day event focused on steel, wire manufacturing, and industry innovation.
Chapter President Jan Pilarczyk confirmed that the seminar will take place at the METALURGIA Hotel in Radomsko, Poland. Attendees can expect presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities across both days.
Day One: Presentations and Industry Panel
The seminar begins on Thursday, November 23, with lunch followed by an official opening session, including a welcome address from a local city representative.
Scheduled presentations include:
- Robert J. Glodowski: “The Evolving Technology of Steel Rod Manufacturing – A Personal Perspective”
- Tom Moran: “Development of High-Carbon Wire for Ultra-High Tensile Strength (285)” — a joint project between <a href=”https://www.nationalstandard.com” target=”_blank”>National Standard</a> and <a href=”https://www.southwire.com” target=”_blank”>SouthwireSouthwire</a>
- Jan Krnac: Technical presentation session
A coffee break leads into a business-focused coaching session covering leasing strategies and financing options.
Industry Panel Discussion
A featured panel will explore the condition of the steel industry amid post-COVID recovery, geopolitical instability, and the war in Ukraine. Experts will address:
- Raw material availability and pricing trends
- Supply chain challenges and delivery timelines
- Renewable energy and photovoltaics
- Industry 4.0, automation, and digitization
