Plans continue to move forward for the XI International WAI Poland Chapter Seminar 2023, scheduled for November 23–24, 2023 at the METALURGIA Hotel in Radomsko. The event continues to attract strong interest from industry professionals and academic institutions.
Event Schedule and Key Sessions
The seminar will begin on Thursday, November 23, with lunch followed by opening remarks from a city official. Presentations will include:
- Robert J. Glodowski on evolving steel rod manufacturing technology
- Tom Moran on high-carbon wire development for ultra-high tensile strength (National Standard and Southwire)
- Jan Krnac on improving drawn steel wire quality for needle production
A business-focused session will cover leasing and financing strategies.
Industry Panel Discussion
The event will feature a panel on the steel industry’s condition amid global challenges, including post-COVID recovery and the impact of the war in Ukraine.
Panel topics will include:
- Raw materials and pricing trends
- Supply chain and delivery challenges
- Renewable energy and photovoltaics
- Industry 4.0, automation, and digitalization
Moderators will include Piotr Milewski, Adam Świerczyński, and Piotr Pawlak.
Networking and Day Two Presentations
Attendees will participate in a networking dinner on Thursday evening, where organizers will recognize key contributors.
On Friday, November 24, speakers will present additional technical papers from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by lunch.
