Sam Otter Wire Link Scholar recognition highlights the continued connection between Gripple Limited and the Wire Link program. Otter, who serves as wire rope global procurement manager, brings years of experience and enthusiasm to this achievement.

Previously, Gripple supported the program through employee involvement. For example, James Curry, a production team leader, earned the 2019 Wire Link Scholar title. In addition, the company has welcomed U.S. scholars to its Sheffield manufacturing facility, where teams produce wire joining and tensioning devices. Selection and Industry Experience

A Gripple management team selected four employees who work closely with wire in their daily roles. From this group, Otter—who has spent 15 years with the company—earned the final selection.

He described the recognition as a major milestone that strengthened his confidence and professional growth. Furthermore, he expressed appreciation for both his colleagues’ support and the external evaluation process that recognized his passion for the wire rope industry.

Interwire and Industry Opportunities

Looking ahead, Otter plans to attend Interwire for the first time. As a result, he aims to expand his knowledge through technical seminars while building valuable industry connections.

He also emphasized the importance of meeting new contacts, which could lead to future supplier relationships for Gripple. Through this experience, Otter intends to deepen his understanding of the industry and contribute further to his company’s success.
