WAI issues call for 2026 WAI Scholar; Jan. 1 is deadline for unique opportunity

WAI is accepting applications for the 2026 Wire Link Traveling Scholarship, which sends a wire professional from the U.S. to England to observe companies and attend the wire Düsseldorf show in Germany, April 13-17, 2026. Applicants must have worked in wire and cable for at least two years and submit an essay by Jan. 1, 2026, explaining how the experience would benefit themselves and their company. All travel expenses are sponsored except time away from work and travel to the airport. The program alternates annually with the U.K. and is co-sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Tin Plate Workers alias Wire Workers of England.
