The WAI and WHMA will co-locate Wire Expo and EWPTE on May 6–7, 2026, at Milwaukee’s Baird Center. The WAI Education Center has released promotional videos for its four introductory courses, generating increased interest post-Interwire. The WAI, in partnership with Hyperion Materials & Technologies, will host a two-part September webinar series on wire die quality. The WAI Midwest Chapter, through The Wire Foundation, has awarded scholarships to three outstanding students—Mia Robillard, Hailey Walker, and Amy Skolozynski—pursuing degrees in engineering and the humanities.
