The RFS plant tour New England Chapter event gave attendees an in-depth look at advanced wire and cable manufacturing in Meriden, Connecticut. The Wire Association International (WAI) New England Chapter organized the October 25 tour, which drew approximately 50 members and guests.
Inside the RFS Manufacturing Facility
The tour began with a presentation from product line managers at <a href=”https://www.rfsworld.com” target=”_blank”>Radio Frequency Systems (RFS)</a>. They outlined the company’s history, key markets, and growth in telecommunications infrastructure.
Afterward, attendees explored the facility through guided rotations. Small groups visited four stations that showcased:
- Coaxial cable manufacturing
- Fiber optic assemblies
- Hybrid fiber and power cables
- Broadcast and microwave antennas
At each stop, subject matter experts explained processes and demonstrated products, offering a clear view of RFS operations.
Networking and Attendee Experience
Following the tour, attendees gathered at River: A Waterfront Restaurant & Bar for a networking dinner along the Connecticut River.
