New England Chapter to return to Meriden for a plant tour on Nov. 7

The WAI New England Chapter plant tour will take place on November 7 at Accel International, Inc. in Meriden, Connecticut. This event will include an exclusive facility tour followed by a networking dinner in the surrounding area.

WAI New England Chapter Plant Tour Highlights Industry Innovation

The WAI New England Chapter plant tour will give attendees a close look at wire drawing operations at Accel International, Inc. (https://www.accelinternational.com). The company manufactures silver-plated, nickel-plated, and tin-plated copper and copper alloys for industries such as aerospace, medical, telecommunications, and industrial manufacturing.

This event offers valuable insight into real-world production processes while creating opportunities to connect with industry peers.

Continued Success of Chapter Plant Tours

The New England Chapter has hosted similar events in the past with strong participation. In 2022, the chapter organized a plant tour at RFS Technologies, now part of Amphenol Corporation (https://www.amphenol.com), also located in Meriden.

That event attracted approximately 50 members and guests. Attendees first joined a presentation on the company’s wireless and broadcast infrastructure solutions, then toured the facility, and finally attended a networking dinner at a waterfront venue.

Networking and Industry Engagement

The upcoming event will continue this successful format by combining technical learning with professional networking. Attendees can expect both educational value and meaningful industry connections.

WAI will release additional event details in future updates. To learn more about WAI events and programs, visit https://www.wirenet.org.
