The wire conference Krakow 2025 will bring together leading organizations across the wire and cable industry. The Wire Association International (WAI) will partner with ACIMAF, the International Wire Machinery Association (IWMA) (https://www.iwma.org/), and AGH University (https://www.agh.edu.pl/) to host this event in Kraków, Poland, on October 14, 2025.
This collaboration builds on more than 20 years of successful technical conferences across Europe. It also highlights strong contributions from the WAI Poland Chapter.
Wire Conference Krakow 2025 Technical Program
The wire conference Krakow 2025 will feature concurrent technical tracks focused on ferrous and electrical applications, along with tabletop exhibits.
Attendees will explore advancements in wire and cable manufacturing, research, and production. Organizers have already confirmed several presentations and continue to accept submissions.
The call for papers remains open for ferrous and nonferrous topics, with a submission deadline of March 31, 2025. Submit abstracts at BIT.LY/WAIABSTRACTS.
AGH University Brings Research Expertise
AGH University, founded in 1913, stands as a leader in engineering and applied sciences, including wire production research.
WAI Executive Director Steve Fetteroll credited Don Neville of RichardApex (https://www.richardsapex.com/) for helping initiate the collaboration. Support from AGH Dean Tadeusz Knych and Professor Beata Smyrak has strengthened the partnership.
Additionally, AGH Rector Jerzy Lis supports the event, reinforcing its academic and industry value.
Networking and Cultural Experiences
Following the conference, attendees will gather for a gala dinner at the historic Depot Museum of Engineering and Technology in Kraków. This venue preserves the city’s transportation history from horse trams to modern systems.
Participants can also explore major attractions, including the Rynek Główny, St. Mary’s Basilica, the Kazimierz district, and Wawel Royal Castle.
