Webinar by labor attorney focused on company concerns related to Covid 19

The Wire Association International (WAI) New England Chapter hosted a COVID-19 webinar on May 6 featuring labor attorney Katherine Witherspoon Fry. During the session, she addressed key legal issues affecting employers.

Fry explained how companies should enforce COVID-19 workplace policies, manage sales visits, and apply tax credits for employee sick leave.

Employer Responsibilities and Vaccine Policies

In addition, Fry discussed how employers should handle employees who test positive multiple times. She also clarified vaccination policies.

Employers can require COVID-19 vaccinations for employees without medical or religious exemptions. However, companies must still follow current regulations and guidance.

Updated Guidance and Industry Impact

Following updated CDC guidance, Fry encouraged employers to stay aligned with state regulations. For example, businesses should continue mask policies where required to maintain compliance and avoid liability.

WAI New England Chapter President John Accorsi noted that the session delivered practical value for manufacturers and management teams.
