The deadline for WAI chapter scholarship applications for 2026 is March 31. Students seeking support through Wire Association International (WAI) chapter scholarships should act soon. The deadline to apply for 2026 scholarships offered by the Midwest, New England, Southeast, and Ohio Valley chapters is March 31.

The scholarship programs help support higher education for families connected to the wire and cable industry.

Chapters Awarded $26,100 in Scholarships in 2025

In 2025, the four participating chapters awarded 13 scholarships totaling $26,100. The programs continue to grow as chapters support students pursuing college education.

Several chapters will again offer scholarships for the upcoming academic year.


Scholarship Opportunities Available for 2026

The New England Chapter will award five scholarships valued at $2,500 each. The chapter will also offer one intern scholarship worth $2,500.

The Southeast Chapter will award three scholarships valued at $2,400 each.

The Midwest Chapter will award three scholarships, with award amounts determined by the chapter.

The Ohio Valley Chapter will award two scholarships valued at $1,500 each.


Eligibility Requirements for Applicants

Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria. The scholarship programs support academically qualified high school seniors.

Eligible applicants must be:

  • A child, grandchild, or dependent of a WAI member in good standing
  • Sponsored by a WAI chapter member

The programs aim to support students connected to the wire and cable industry while encouraging educational achievement.
