The Wire Association International (WAI) chapter scholarships help students begin college with financial support tied directly to the wire and cable industry. Several regional chapters will accept applications for 2026 scholarships, building on strong activity and funding levels from prior years.

WAI chapter scholarships 2026 overview

In 2025, the Midwest, New England, Southeast, and Ohio Valley chapters awarded 13 scholarships totaling $26,100. For 2026, multiple chapters plan to offer scholarships again and continue that momentum.

  • The New England Chapter will award five scholarships worth $2,500 each.
  • New England will also award one intern scholarship worth $2,500.
  • The Southeast Chapter will award three scholarships worth $2,400 each.
  • The Midwest Chapter will award three scholarships, with award values to be announced separately.
  • The Ohio Valley Chapter will award two scholarships worth $1,500 each.

These awards give students direct support for tuition and college costs, while they also highlight active chapter engagement.
