Ohio Valley Chapter Golf Outing and Shooting Event Highlights 2026
The WAI Ohio Valley Chapter (OVC) hosted its 21st annual golf outing on August 21. Once again, the chapter offered a split-activity format, giving attendees the choice between golf and target shooting. As a result, the event attracted 54 participants, including 46 golfers and eight shooters.
Golf Tournament Results at Kensington Golf Club
Golfers gathered at Kensington Golf Club in Canfield, Ohio, for an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Although misty conditions covered the course, players maintained high energy throughout the morning. Before tee-off, many warmed up at the driving range, sponsored by Rainbow Rubber & Plastics.
The winning team from https://www.premierwiredie.com (Premier Wire Die) and https://www.worldwidesuperabrasives.com (Worldwide Superabrasives)—Denny Eisberg, Vincent Griffin, Kim Wynn, and David Simpson—secured first place with a score of 60.
Close behind, the second-place team finished at 61, including Michael Krueger of https://www.traxit.com (Traxit North America), Jason Giebfried of https://www.paramountdie.com (Paramount Die Company), and Jonathan Gaser and Sam Diamond of https://www.lincolnelectric.com (Lincoln Electric).

At the same time, a group of participants chose target shooting at The Training Range in Austintown, Ohio. This option continued to grow in popularity. Chapter President Thomas Maxwell Jr. of https://www.diequip.com (Die Quip Corp.) won the five-shot marksmanship challenge. He also highlighted the activity as an engaging alternative for non-golfers.
Networking, Lunch, and Technical Seminars
After the morning activities, attendees gathered for a buffet lunch and limited bar, sponsored by GEON Performance Solutions. The event also featured a raffle, with prizes such as golf clubs, wine, and shooting gear, all donated by sponsors.
