Accent Wire Tie acquires Coastal Wire

Strengthening U.S. Baling Wire Production

Theย Accent Wire Tie Coastal Wire acquisitionย marks a major step forward for both companies.ย Accent Wire Tieย recently acquiredย Coastal Wire Company, a respected U.S. manufacturer founded in 1978. Coastal Wire specializes in producing fully annealed baling wire at its Georgetown, South Carolina, facility.

This partnership strengthens Accentโ€™s ability to deliver reliable, high-quality wire products to recycling, packaging, and waste management companies. It also expands the companyโ€™s national manufacturing footprint and supply capabilities.

Coastal Wireโ€™s Legacy and Product Range

Coastal Wire remains theย only manufacturer in the United Statesย that produces a complete line of baling wire products. Its lineup includes black-annealed coil wire, black-annealed box wire, high-tensile galvanized wire, galvanized bale tie wire, black-annealed bale ties, and its signatureย KleenGreenยฎ bale ties.

The acquisition, which closed in December, enhances Accentโ€™s domestic production strength. Furthermore, it ensures customers benefit from improved availability and faster delivery across key markets.

Accent Wire Tieโ€™s Expanding Footprint

Based in Tomball, Texas, Accent Wire Tie operates theย largest baling wire manufacturing and distribution networkย in North America. The company runs seven mills and 21 distribution centers across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.

Through itsย Wire-Tie Division, Accent provides wire-tier equipment manufacturing, distribution services, and repair solutions. Additionally, the company supports recycling centers, material recovery facilities, and packaging operations. Its global scale allows for greater efficiency, consistent quality, and better customer support.

Growth Backed by Apollo Investment

Accent Wire Tie continues to grow under the ownership ofย Apollo Global Management. Last August, funds managed by Apollo acquired Accent and its sister companies, confirming investor confidence in its long-term potential.

Joanna Reiss, Partner and Co-Head of Impact at Apollo, explained, โ€œAccent plays a crucial role in the recycling industry. We see many opportunities to help it grow, innovate, and increase its impact.โ€

With Coastal Wire now part of the Accent family, the company plans to expand its production capacity even further. Moreover, the combined expertise will help develop more sustainable wire solutions and strengthen global supply chains.
