Arcole Setic Investment Launches New Growth Phase

Arcole, a French private equity firm, has made aย majority investment inย Setic, a global manufacturer ofย wire and cable machinery. The investment comes in partnership with Seticโ€™s long-standing CEO,ย Thierry Collard, who will continue to lead the company.

This acquisition marks aย new growth chapterย for Setic, positioning the company to expand its industrial leadership and strengthen its presence in key global markets.

Strengthening Seticโ€™s Industrial Leadership

Setic, based inย Roanne and Paris, develops advanced equipment for theย wire and cable industry. Through Arcoleโ€™s investment, the company plans to expand development, reduce debt significantly, and take advantage of accelerating global market trends in the coming years.

The company also intends to reinforce its role as aย French industrial leader supporting the energy transition. Key initiatives include:

  • Strengthening the sales structure ofย Setic USA.

  • Expandingย R&D capabilitiesย and modernizing facilities in Roanne.

  • Rebranding toย Setic Pourtierย in celebration of the companyโ€™sย 75th anniversary, honoring the combined legacies of Setic and Pourtier.
