Cabopol plans to open its 1st compounding plant in the Americas in Monterrey, Mexico

Cabopol Expands into North America

Cabopol Polymer Compounds, a Portuguese leader in thermoplastic and crosslinked compounds, announced the launch of itsย Cabopol Monterrey Mexico production unit. This new facility marks the companyโ€™s first manufacturing operation in the Americas and represents a major step in its global expansion plan.

Strengthening Presence in the Americas

The new plant sits in the heart of Monterreyโ€™s industrial zone and spansย 10,000 square meters. Cabopol expects the facility to begin operations by the end of the year. This investment will expand the companyโ€™s global footprint and bring production closer to customers acrossย North and South America.

Cutting-Edge Equipment and Scalable Capacity

Cabopol will equip the Monterrey plant withย modern machineryย andย advanced compounding technology. The site will start withย two production lines, offeringย 25,000 tons of annual capacity. As demand grows, the company can easily expand operations.

In addition, the facility will produceย high-quality polymer compoundsย at a competitive cost, reinforcing Cabopolโ€™s reputation for innovation and performance.

Focused on Wire, Cable, and Automotive Markets

In its initial phase, Cabopol will focus onย wire and cable compoundsย for theย automotive industry. This new capacity will strengthen supply chains, reduce lead times, and improve service for customers inย Mexicoย and across theย Americas.

Meanwhile, the company plans to broaden production over time. It aims to offer solutions for additional industrial sectors and meet evolving customer needs in a growing global market.
