Italyโsย Continuus-Properziย secured a contract from Indiaโsย Adani Groupย to supply a Properzi ETP TOP copper rod line toย Kutch Copper Ltd., an Adani subsidiary. The new line will support Kutch Copperโs greenfield copper complex in Gujarat, India, and will help the company meet growing demand for high-quality copper rod in regional and export markets.

This capability is critical for downstream wire and cable manufacturers serving power, infrastructure, and industrial sectors across Indiaโs fast-growing economy.
Fort Wayne Wire Die Opens New Mexico Service Center
Fort Wayne Wire Die (FWWD), based in the United States, opened a new die service center in Querรฉtaro, Mexico, under the nameย Fort Wayne Wire Die de Mรฉxico. The facility will supply the Mexican wire and cable market with locally produced single crystal diamond and polycrystalline diamond (PCD) wire drawing dies, as well as recutting and repolishing services.
FWWD President Eric Bieberich said that having a local service center in the heart of Mexico will significantly improve support for Mexican customers. By finishing new dies from rough-drilled inventory and refurbishing worn dies without sending them out of the country, the company can respond faster to what he described as a demanding, growth-oriented market. The Querรฉtaro site will operate as a focus factory with a strong emphasis on new and recut diamond and PCD dies for rod breakdown, intermediate, and fine wire drawing. It will also supply matched die sets for high-speed, multi-wire drawing machines.
Local Expertise and Global Network
Longtime FWWD sales veteranย Tino Corral, a Spanish speaker with more than 30 years at the company, relocated with his wife to Querรฉtaro to lead the new operation. A core team of Mexican nationals also joined the facility after completing extensive wire-die-specific training at Fort Wayne and another service center, ensuring strong local technical capability from launch.
Fort Wayne Wire Die already operates plants in Canada and the Philippines, and the Mexican addition marks its first new facility in about 15 years. Bieberich noted that serving the Mexican market solely from the U.S. created challenges, and that establishing a local site was essential to โget seriousโ about this growing region. He acknowledged the risks of staffing a new plant but said the performance and learning curve of the new team have impressed company leadership.
