Offshore Wind Powering Millions of Homes

The wind farm sitsย 69 km northeast of Suffolkโ€™s coastย and will hostย 95 turbinesย ofย 14.7 MWย each. Together, they will generateย 1,400 MW, enough to power overย 1.3 million UK homesย with clean electricity.

Earlier,ย ScottishPower Renewablesย selectedย NKTย to deliver aย 320 kV HVDC export cable systemย under a deal worth more thanย โ‚ฌ250 million. The turnkey project includes the systemโ€™s design, production, and installation.

Building on Experience and Efficiency

East Anglia THREE will follow the same cable route used forย East Anglia ONE, reducing environmental disturbance and improving efficiency.

โ€œAtย ScottishPower, weโ€™re determined to generate more homegrown renewable energy,โ€ saidย Ross Ovens, Managing Director for theย East Anglia Hub. โ€œThis project represents a major step forward.โ€
