Italian company orders wire rod line from Danieli to expand existing plant capacity

Danieli Wire Rod Line Expands Acciaierie Veneteโ€™s Production in Italy

Acciaierie Veneteย has chosenย Danieliย to design and supply a newย wire rod production lineย that will increase capacity at itsย Sarezzo (Brescia)ย steel plant. The partnership strengthens the companyโ€™s ability to meet growing demand for special steel products in both domestic and international markets.

Increasing Production with Advanced Technology

Fed by the existing Danieli rolling mill, which currently produces straight and coiled quality bars, the newย Danieli wire rod lineย will manufactureย special steel smooth roundsย ranging fromย 5.5 to 25 mmย in diameter. Operating at speeds up toย 110 m/s, the line will expand Acciaierie Veneteโ€™s product portfolio while ensuring the highest precision across all sizes.

The new mill is scheduled to begin operation inย early 2025, marking another milestone in the companyโ€™s modernization strategy.

Precision and Performance Features

Danieli designed the line withย three fast-finishing blocksย that performย 18 passesย to guarantee consistent dimensional accuracy. Itsย TMB Twin-Module Blockย ensures a tolerance ofย ยฑ0.1 mmย andย 50% ovality controlย across the entire product range.

The system includesย Danieli Automationโ€™s Hi-Profile Liteย gauge-measurement technology, which provides real-time quality monitoring during rolling. Additionally, operators can adjust ring settings remotely through a motorized control system, ensuring quick response and improved production precision.

Aย Danieli-patented high-speed shearย will deliver accurate head-and-tail trimming inline, helping maintain production efficiency and reducing waste.

Strengthening Competitiveness and Quality

By integrating thisย Danieli wire rod line, Acciaierie Venete enhances its manufacturing flexibility and continues its commitment to producing top-quality steel products. The investment supports the companyโ€™s long-term goals of improving capacity, consistency, and competitiveness within Europeโ€™s steel industry.
