LS Eco Energy has secured its first LS Eco Energy Japan cable contract, supplying 6.6 kV distribution cables to Japan’s power sector through its LS-VINA subsidiary. This milestone marks the company’s entry into one of the world’s most technically demanding cable markets.
Expanding into Japan’s Power Infrastructure Market
LS Eco Energy signed an annual supply agreement with Kitanihon Electric Wire, a subsidiary of Tohoku Electric Power. The contract covers 6.6 kV cross-linked polyethylene (CVT) cables used in distribution networks.
Japan enforces strict technical specifications and quality standards, which makes market entry challenging. Therefore, this agreement demonstrates LS Eco Energy’s ability to meet high-performance requirements.
Strengthening Global Growth Strategy
The LS Eco Energy Japan cable contract was developed in collaboration with LS Cable & System Japan, reflecting strong coordination across the global group. As a result, the company is building a foundation for further expansion in Japan.
At the same time, LS Eco Energy continues to focus on high-value power cable markets. Leadership emphasized plans to expand into advanced regions such as the United States and Europe with premium cable products.
Supporting Demand for Advanced Infrastructure
LS Eco Energy, part of the broader LS Cable & System group, continues to grow its international footprint through strategic investments and partnerships. The company reported approximately $680 million in provisional revenue for 2025, marking a record year driven by rising demand for power infrastructure.
With this first contract in Japan, LS Eco Energy strengthens its position in high-specification cable segments and prepares for continued global growth.
