Madem-Moorecraft Opens New Denton Facility

Madem-Moorecraft Reels USAย has officially opened itsย second U.S. manufacturing plantย inย Denton, Texas, marking a major milestone in the companyโ€™s continued growth. The grand opening brought together elected officials, customers, suppliers, and shareholders to celebrate this expansion.

Increased Capacity and Job Growth

The Denton facilityโ€™s first phase boosts Madem-Moorecraftโ€™s total production capacity byย 50%, reaching aboutย 150 truckloads of kits per month. By next year, phase two of the project will add anotherย 50% capacity increase, solidifying the plantโ€™s role in meeting the growing demand across North America.

The company is investing more thanย $14 millionย in the expansion and creatingย over 100 new jobs. With this increased output, Madem-Moorecraft now suppliesย wood and plywood reelsย toย 42 cable manufacturing plantsย throughout the United States.

According to company presidentย Marcos Conde Ramalho, the Denton site represents Madem-Moorecraftโ€™sย most advanced industrial engineering projectย to date. โ€œThis manufacturing system uses top-tier machinery and innovation,โ€ he said. โ€œIt brings pride to both the Madem-Moorecraft team and the globalย Madem Group. The facility was designed to deliver unmatched quality and service to North American cable manufacturers.โ€

Josh McCoy, general manager of Madem-Moorecraft Reels USA, praised the teamwork behind the new facilityโ€™s success. โ€œThe Denton team is thrilled about the future of this plant,โ€ he said. โ€œWe couldnโ€™t have achieved this without the dedication of our Tarboro, North Carolina team and the ongoing support of our Madem Group colleagues in Brazil.โ€

Stephen J. Redhage, vice president and general manager, emphasized that this expansion strengthens the companyโ€™s core operations. โ€œExpanding our assembly and distribution network is key to our growth strategy,โ€ he said. โ€œHaving two U.S. manufacturing plants gives us the foundation to serve our customers faster and more efficiently.โ€
