Madem Reels cites stunning โ€™greenโ€™ results due to inherent value of its forest properties

Madem Reels Groupย reports that it now removes more carbon from the atmosphere than it emits, reaching a level of climate action that far exceeds typical corporate efforts on mitigation. The company attributes this achievement to the natural carbon capture of its managed forest assets and longโ€‘term forestry strategy.

According to a study by Brazil-basedย Ecofinance Negocios, which evaluates both biogenic and fossil emissions under Scope 3 criteria, Madem Reels Group captured more greenhouse gases in 2022 than it released, thanks to its cultivated forests. The accumulated carbon inventory from its native and cultivated forests equals more thanย 195 timesย the companyโ€™s fossil emissions for that year.

The parent company ofย Madem Reelsย ranks among the 15 largest forestry groups in Brazil, managing aboutย 10,000 hectares (24,710 acres)ย of forestry properties. Its planted forests supply wood for the companyโ€™s production plant in Brazil, covering more than half of the wood used across its operations.

Madem Reels also supports its global reel production through plants inย Spain, Bahrain, the U.S., Mexico, and Colombia, ensuring a reliable and sustainable supply chain for international customers in the wire and cable industry.

Global Sales and Marketing Directorย Leandro Mazzoccatoย praised the companyโ€™s global teams for delivering on their environmental mission. He emphasized Madem Reels Groupโ€™s long-term commitment to sustainability and said the company proudly shares this vision with more thanย 200 wire and cable customers in over 45 countries.
