Nexansย has secured a major contract for theย Nexans Low-Carbon Cable Supply in Italy, deliveringย 6,000 km of low- and medium-voltage power distribution cablesย to a leading Italian utility. Powering Italyโs Decarbonized Electrification Goals
The cables will be produced at Nexansโ advanced facility inย Battipaglia, Italy, which usesย 100% certified low-carbon aluminum. Depending on the product type, this innovative material can cutย greenhouse gas emissions by 35% to 50%.
Over the nextย 16 months, Nexans will supply cables designed forย underground power linesโsystems that offer greater durability and resistance toย extreme weather events. These improvements will help Italyโs energy network remain stable even as climate challenges intensify.
