The deal supports Nexansโ€™ strategic decision to simplify its business and focus growth on electrification markets worldwide.

According toย Nexans, this planned transaction marks its full exit from the telecom and data segment. The company continues to redirect resources toward the rapidly expandingย electrification sector, which remains central to its global growth strategy.
The deal is expected to close by theย end of the first half of 2023, marking an important step in Nexansโ€™ transformation journey.

Global Operations Included in the Nexans Syntagma Capital Telecom Sale

The transaction will includeย eight international sitesย acrossย France, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Morocco, China,ย andย Singapore. These centers design, produce, and marketย telecom network,ย LAN, andย data centerย solutions. Together, they form the final major part of Nexansโ€™ Telecom & Data division, following the earlier sale ofย Berk-Tekย in 2020.

Nexans Strengthens its Electrification Focus

In the companyโ€™sย 2022 Annual Report,ย CEO Christopher Guรฉrinย highlighted that strong financial results confirm the companyโ€™s decision to focus on electrification. โ€œOur Electrification division grew 12.9% organically, supported by record EBITDA performance and record generation and transmission backlogs,โ€ Guรฉrin explained.

S&P Global Ratingsย recently upgraded Nexansโ€™ outlook fromย stableย toย positive, citing improvements from its transformation plan and emphasis on electrification.
