Pourtier NKT Germany Stranding Line Order Secured

The Pourtier NKT Germany stranding line project marks a major investment in advanced cable manufacturing. Pourtier, part of the Gauder Group, will supply a multi-million euro rigid stranding line to NKT Germany, strengthening production at its Cologne facility.

Advanced Stranding Technology and Capacity

The new system will handle 130 wires and produce 3500 mm² copper and 4000 mm² aluminum compacted cables. This design will improve efficiency and support high-performance cable production.

Pourtier plans to deliver the equipment in early 2019. The order also builds on an existing relationship, as Pourtier has previously supplied systems to facilities now part of NSW.

This investment will strengthen operations at NKT’s Cologne facility, a modern cable manufacturing hub. The plant produces medium- and high-voltage cablesfiber optic productssubmarine cables, and grid monitoring systems.

Additionally, the facility emphasizes efficient production and environmental protection, aligning with industry standards.

The project reflects strong collaboration between Pourtier and NKT Germany. Pourtier continues to expand globally, with more than 700 drum twisters and 120 stranding systems delivered worldwide.
