Sandvik, the Sweden-based engineering group, has completed theย Sandvik Accuratech medical wire acquisition, bringing Swiss-based Accuratech Group into its portfolio. This move strengthens Sandvikโs medical wire capabilities and also supports its strategy to grow in highโvalue, specialized markets.

Accuratech Group includesย Polyfill, which manufactures a wide range of specialty wires. Its portfolio covers ultraโfine wires forย nanoโ and microโtechnologyย in the medical field,ย round bare wiresย from 0.8 mm to 0.007 mm,ย flat wires and ribbonsย for multiple applications,ย electroplated wiresย (gold, nickel, platinum, silver, zinc), andย insulated wiresย ranging from standard copper to multiโcoated biocompatible wires and special alloys.
