Schlatter Group acquires majority stake in Italian company, bolsters strategic position

Schlatter Group Sokol Engineering Acquisition Strengthens Industry Presence

Germanyโ€™s Schlatter Group (visit Schlatter Group) has acquired a 51% stake in Sokol Engineering Srl, a respected Italian manufacturer of wire processing equipment. This strategic move expands Schlatterโ€™s European presence and strengthens its ability to deliver complete solutions across the wire industry.

Sokol Engineering, based in Tavagnacco (Udine), Italy, develops and builds wire production systems that include cold rollingwire drawing, and stretching lines. The company generates about โ‚ฌ3 million in annual sales and brings valuable knowโ€‘how to Schlatterโ€™s growing business network.

Strengthening Schlatterโ€™s Strategic Position

Through this acquisition, Schlatter Group moves closer to its goal of becoming a fullโ€‘service provider in the wire industry. The deal broadens its product range beyond resistance welding and weaving machinery, offering greater expertise across multiple wire manufacturing stages.

As a result, customers will gain a single, trusted partner for endโ€‘toโ€‘end production solutions. Moreover, this partnership enhances innovation and ensures longโ€‘term value for the European market.

Sokol Engineering Rebrands as Schlatter Italia

Following the agreement, Sokol Engineering now operates as Schlatter Italia Srl. Its founder, Sokol Haxhiaj, continues to lead the company as managing director and shareholder. This ensures a smooth transition and preserves the technical leadership that helped the company thrive.

With his continued guidance, the team will focus on innovation and close collaboration with Schlatterโ€™s global divisions. Together, they aim to provide faster delivery, better service, and improved customization for wire manufacturing clients.

Expanding Capabilities and Service Excellence

The Schlatter Group Sokol Engineering acquisition boosts Schlatterโ€™s engineering and production capabilities. By combining Schlatterโ€™s automation experience with Sokolโ€™s mechanical design expertise, the group can now offer complete, integrated systems. These solutions cover every stageโ€”from wire drawing to finished product.

This combination not only streamlines production but also reduces downtime and simplifies maintenance. As a result, customers across industries can expect better performance and reliability from a single supplier.

Schlatterโ€™s Commitment to Growth and Innovation

Headquartered in Switzerland and Germany, the Schlatter Group continues to expand globally through strategic partnerships. Its focus on automation, resistance welding, and weaving technologies now extends into full wire production systems.

This latest acquisition demonstrates Schlatterโ€™s ongoing commitment to innovation and its mission to drive smarter, more efficient manufacturing solutions worldwide.
