Swedenโ€™s Axjo to open its 2nd U.S. reel production plant, this one to be in Texas

Swedenโ€™s Axjo Group is expanding its cable reel production business by opening a new manufacturing facility in Haltom City, Texas. The move marks an important step in the companyโ€™s longโ€‘term growth strategy and strengthens its North American market presence.

The new plant spans 160,586 square feet and sits just outside Fort WorthAxjo Group plans to begin operations in January, starting with 30 employees. The facility will produce spools and large cable reels, starting at 30 inches and above, to serve a variety of customers across the U.S. and Canada.

Furthermore, the Texas site will complement Axjoโ€™s existing North Carolina facility, offering the full U.S. product portfolio. Together, these operations will increase capacity, improve delivery speed, and enhance customer service across the continent. As a result, Axjo strengthens its position within the global supply chain while boosting regional efficiency.

โ€œThis is a natural next step for Axjo Group,โ€ said Owner Jacob Nilsson. โ€œWeโ€™re seeing strong U.S. demand for sustainable reels, so it makes sense to produce locally. Therefore, being close to our customers allows faster response times and reduced environmental impact.โ€

Tim SchultzCEO of Axjo America, described the expansion as a major milestone. โ€œOur new Texas plant brings us closer to customers in the Southwest and supports our push for sustainability,โ€ he said. โ€œIn addition, the facility enables us to offer ecoโ€‘friendly, highโ€‘performance cable reels produced right here in the United States.โ€

Moreover, by localizing production, Axjo Group expects to reduce lead times and improve flexibility for domestic customers. The investment reinforces Axjoโ€™s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and customer satisfaction while opening new opportunities for growth across the North American market.
