TKF opens fiber optic cable plant in Poland

TKF Expands Fiber Cable Production in Europe

B.V. Twentsche Kabelfabriek (TKF), part of theย TKH Group N.V., officially opened its newย fiber optic cable facilityย onย September 6ย inย Rawicz, Poland. The expansion marks an important step in TKFโ€™s European growth strategy.

The new plantย doubles TKFโ€™s fiber production capacityย in Europe. This increase allows the company to replace part of its production in China and strengthen its ability to serve European customers withย innovative fiber solutions.

Supporting Local Jobs and Connectivity

Located in theย Rawicz Industrial Zone, the factory spansย 10,000 square metersย and will employย more than 75 peopleย once fully operational. Construction began inย March 2023, and the site became operational in justย 18 monthsโ€”a strong example of TKFโ€™s efficiency and project execution.

Built for Sustainability and Efficiency

TKF designed the facility withย sustainability goalsย in mind. It usesย UV LED curing,ย energyโ€‘saving LED lighting, andย solar panelsย to reduce emissions and energy costs. These features align with TKFโ€™s commitment to responsible growth and itsย ESG targetsย across all operations.

A Milestone for TKF and the Community

โ€œThere is a great sense of pride among our team and the community,โ€ saidย Wim Bank, Telecom Director at TKF. โ€œThis expansion increases our capacity, improves how we serve customers, and strengthens our position in the European market.โ€

The Rawicz site operates alongsideย E&E Cable Solutions, anotherย TKH Groupย company. Together, they enhanceย Europeโ€™s digital connectivityย through expanded manufacturing and joint expertise.

Global Growth and Recognition

Founded inย 1930, TKF has grown from a cable manufacturer into a technology leader forย connectivity and energy infrastructure. Inย June 2025, the company won a major contract withย ร˜rstedย to supply and install nearlyย 200 km of interโ€‘array and accessory cablesย for theย 920 MW Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind farmsย in Taiwan.

By expanding production in Poland and securing international projects, TKF continues to driveย sustainable innovationย andย global connectivityย forward.
