Amphenol Completes Acquisition of Trexon Industrial Products Group

Amphenol Corporation has completed its acquisition of the Industrial Products Group (IPG) from Trexon. The deal includes key brands such as TPC Wire & CablePittsburgh Wire & Cable, and MilRail, all of which now join Amphenolโ€™s expanding Harsh Environment Solutions Division.

Expanding Amphenolโ€™s Industrial Capabilities

This acquisition further strengthens Amphenolโ€™s presence in harsh environment interconnect marketsLuc Walter, President of Amphenolโ€™s Harsh Environment Solutions Division, welcomed the new team, saying, โ€œWeโ€™re thrilled to have TPC Wire & Cable as part of the Amphenol family. Amphenol TPC Wire & Cable to Operate as Standalone Unit

The newly formed Amphenol TPC Wire & Cable will operate as an independent business unit within the Harsh Environment Division. The company will maintain its headquarters and leadership team to ensure a seamless transition.

Furthermore, the integration of TPCโ€™s engineering strength with Amphenolโ€™s global resources will accelerate the development of advanced cables and interconnect systems. โ€œTogether, weโ€™re offering expanded value to our customers with cutting-edge technology and broader solution options,โ€ Walter added.

Strengthening Brand Portfolio and Market Reach

Amphenol also gains the complementary brands Pittsburgh Wire & Cable and MilRail, each contributing to the companyโ€™s growing connectivity ecosystem.

  • Pittsburgh Wire & Cable, established in 1992, distributes industrial and commercial wire, cable, and accessories.
  • MilRail, operating across the U.S. and Canada, focuses on rail, transit, and transportation applications including wire harnesses and assemblies.

These brands will add new industrial depth and distribution reach to Amphenolโ€™s already robust portfolio.
