Wire and Cable Industry Sees Strong Growth in 2023

Theย wire and cable industryย experienced a surge of activity in 2023 as business momentum returned across global marketsโ€”especially in the power sector. The renewal followed several slower years caused by the pandemicโ€™s disruptions, and optimism grew as events and partnerships expanded throughout the year.

Interwire 2023 Returns to Atlanta

In May, theย Wire Association International (WAI)ย successfully returned to Atlanta forย Interwire 2023, following a Covid-related pause in its regular cycle. The show drew professionals, exhibitors, and innovators from across the industry eager to reconnect and explore the latest manufacturing technologies.

Global Conferences and Education Initiatives

WAI also resumed its international technical conferences, hostingย two global eventsย that fostered technical exchange and collaboration across regions. Additionally, the association launched aย new educational initiativeย to expand training opportunities for engineers and technicians entering or advancing within the industry.

A Strong Year for Industry Growth

Overall, 2023 marked a positive year of recovery and renewed energy for the wire and cable sector. With revived trade shows, technical knowledge-sharing, and continued investment in workforce education, the industry positioned itself for continued growth in 2024 and beyond.
