WCMA also hosted its inauguralย Young Professional Panel Discussion, which attracted more than 60 participants. Panelistsย David Fisher, President of James Monroe Wire & Cable, andย Adam Chase, President & CEO of Chase Corp., discussedย โWhy Wire & Cable โ A Rewarding Career Choice.โ
Charles Glew, President of Cable Components Group and Chairman of theย WCMA Young Professionals group, moderated the session. The discussion highlighted career paths, industry opportunities, and the importance of attracting new talent to the wire and cable industry.
WCMA Charitable Giving and Community Impact
Executive Directorย Ed Fentonย reported that WCMA donatedย $19,300ย to charities in 2023. Beneficiaries includedย UCONN Cancer Research,ย Toys for Tots, industryย scholarship programs, and several other organizations such asย Breast Cancer charities, the American Red Cross, UNICEF, Wounded Warriors, and others. WCMA makes these donations annually in honor of itsย Distinguished Career Award recipients, reinforcing the Allianceโs commitment to community and industry support.
