Association to work with chapters to develop regional education programs

The WAI regional education program marks a new initiative to strengthen training and development across all chapters of the Wire Association International (WAI). Beginning this year, WAI will collaborate closely with chapter leadership to build consistent regional education opportunities.

WAI Regional Education Program Expansion Plans

Currently, only the New England Chapter and Ohio Valley Chapter offer structured education programs. However, WAI plans to expand these efforts, starting with the Midwest and Southeast Chapters.

Through this initiative, each chapter will introduce educational components that align with WAI’s mission to support industry knowledge and professional growth. As a result, members will gain access to more localized training opportunities and enhanced benefits.

Supporting Member Growth and Engagement

According to WAI Membership Manager John Markowski, these programs have already delivered strong results. He noted that members who attend educational sessions consistently find them valuable and impactful.

Although developing these programs requires coordination and volunteer support, chapters continue to respond positively. As more chapters adopt this model, WAI expects to strengthen member engagement and deliver greater value across the wire and cable industry.
