Inspired manufacturing the focus of Interwire 2023 conference

The Interwire 2023 conference program delivers a comprehensive lineup of keynotes, technical sessions, and industry panels from May 9–11 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The Wire Association International (WAI) designed the program to support innovation, workforce development, and manufacturing excellence across the wire and cable industry.

In addition, attendees can access all sessions with conference and exhibit registration. WAI also offers its Fundamentals of Wire Manufacturing course on May 8 as a pre-event training option. Industry leaders headline the event with forward-looking insights. Srinivas Siripurapu, Chief Innovation and R&D Officer at <a href=”https://www.prysmiangroup.com” target=”_blank”>Prysmian</a>, will present “Innovation, Investments & Incentives.” Meanwhile, Rich StinsonRich Stinson, President and CEO of <a href=”https://www.southwire.com” target=”_blank”>SouthwireSouthwire</a>, will discuss the electrified future of the industry.

Additionally, featured speaker Dr. Mary Ellen Weber will share perspectives on space exploration, leadership, and innovation, including a second session focused on commercial space and emerging opportunities.

Industry 4.0 and Workforce Sessions

The program includes focused sessions on Industry 4.0 technologies and workforce development. Experts from companies such as <a href=”https://www.oden.io” target=”_blank”>Oden Technologies</a>, <a href=”https://www.augmentir.com” target=”_blank”>Augmentir</a>, and <a href=”https://www.southwire.com” target=”_blank”>Southwire</a> will explore topics such as AI-driven manufacturing, smart workforce solutions, and connected enterprise strategiesconnected enterprise strategies.

At the same time, workforce sessions will address safety programs, talent challenges, and leadership strategies, featuring speakers from <a href=”https://www.encorewire.com” target=”_blank”>Encore Wire</a> and TYGESTYGES.

Extrusion, Polymers, and Industry Outlook

Technical experts will also lead sessions on extrusion technology and polymer applications, with contributors from <a href=”https://www.maillefer.net” target=”_blank”>MailleferMaillefer</a>, <a href=”https://www.borealisgroup.com” target=”_blank”>BorealisBorealis</a>, and Integrated Control TechnologiesIntegrated Control Technologies.

Meanwhile, industry outlook sessions will cover key market topics, including economic trends, steel markets, and copper supply and demand, providing critical insights for manufacturers and suppliers.

Technical Sessions and Live Demonstrations

The conference features nine technical sessions addressing topics such as wire drawing performance, defect detection, copper wire manufacturing, and eddy current testing.

In addition, attendees can participate in live production solution demonstrations on May 10–11, which will focus on wire production challenges, lubrication, and die specifications.

Exhibits and Event Overview

More than 300 exhibitors will showcase the latest wire and cable technologies across 80 product categories, including over 30 new companies at Interwire 2023.
