It will soon be time to get your application in for a 2026 WAI chapter scholarship

In 2025, WAIโ€™s Midwest, New England, Southeast, and Ohio Valley Chapters awarded 13 scholarships totaling $26,100 to eligible students connected to chapter members. Applications for 2026 chapter scholarshipsโ€”open to academically qualified high school seniors who are children, grandchildren, or dependents of membersโ€”are due March 31 and administered through WAIโ€™s education programs.

Oct. 2 Points Meeting for Wire Expo sees 62% of available floor space assigned

Wire Expo 2026 is off to a strong start after the Oct. 2 Points Meeting at WAI headquarters, where 91 companies secured 111 of 179 available exhibit units for the May 6-7 show at Milwaukeeโ€™s Baird Center. Remaining booths, including potential converted spaces, will be sold first-come, first-served, with added draw from co-location with the Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo

WAI issues call for 2026 WAI Scholar; Jan. 1 is deadline for unique opportunity

WAI is accepting applications for the 2026 Wire Link Traveling Scholarship, which sends a wire professional from the U.S. to England to observe companies and attend the wire Dรผsseldorf show in Germany, April 13-17, 2026. Applicants must have worked in wire and cable for at least two years and submit an essay by Jan. 1, 2026, explaining how the experience would benefit themselves and their company. All travel expenses are sponsored except time away from work and travel to the airport. The program alternates annually with the U.K. and is co-sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Tin Plate Workers alias Wire Workers of England.
