WAI adds 4 members to its Board of Directors

The WAI Board of Directors new members announcement highlights the addition of four industry leaders who will each serve a three-year term. With these appointments, the Wire Association International (WAI) Board now includes 21 members, representing both suppliers and manufacturers across the industry.

The Board consists of nine suppliers and 12 manufacturers, including representatives from the electrical and ferrous sectors. Meanwhile, Marco Gerardo of Frigeco USA and Thomas Heberling of <a href=”https://www.southwire.com” target=”_blank”>SouthwireSouthwire</a> have completed their terms.

WAI Board of Directors New Members

The newly appointed and returning members bring extensive experience across engineering, manufacturing, and innovation:

  • Eric Bieberich, President of <a href=”https://www.fwwd.com” target=”_blank”>Fort Wayne Wire Die</a>, brings more than 20 years of experience in engineering, production, and leadership. He previously served two terms on the WAI Board and chaired the Education Committee.
  • Andrés Cartagena Ruiz, Head of MFL X and Customer Care at <a href=”https://www.mflgroup.com” target=”_blank”>MFL Group</a>, leads digital innovation initiatives focused on Industrial IoT and AI-driven solutions. He also contributes to multiple technology and manufacturing advisory groups.
  • Chris Tucker, Director of Nonferrous Metals at <a href=”https://www.encorewire.com” target=”_blank”>Encore Wire</a>, has advanced through engineering and operations roles since joining the company in 2012. He actively contributes to WAI committees and industry initiatives.

Industry Leadership and Experience

Each board member contributes specialized expertise in materials engineering, digital manufacturing, operations management, and process optimization. As a result, WAI strengthens its leadership team and reinforces its commitment to advancing the wire and cable industry.
