The Wire Association International (WAI) and ACIMAF jointly organized the event to promote innovation and collaboration across the wire and cable industry.

The WAI Milan wire and cable conference 2023 featured concurrent sessions covering both ferrous and nonferrous technologies. Experts from 24 companies shared best practices in wire drawing, along with insights into Industry 4.0 and current market conditions.
At the same time, representatives from 27 companies participated in the supplier forum, where they showcased products and discussed business opportunities.
Industry Insights and Collaboration
ACIMAF President Ferruccio Bellina emphasized the strong collaboration between WAI and ACIMAF, noting the event’s success and global reach. Delegates traveled from more than 30 countries, reinforcing the conference’s international impact.
Additionally, WAI President Kurt Breischaft moderated the nonferrous track. He highlighted discussions on sustainability in cable manufacturing, including how companies like Prysmian, La Farga, and Continuus-Properzi are advancing material processing for improved environmental performance.
