Webinar: Key Differentiators in Carbide Wire Dies

Zoom
The webinar “Key Differentiators in Carbide Wire Dies”, is a technical session tailored for wire die tool makers and wire producers. The presenters will explore the critical aspects that define high-quality carbide wire dies, starting with an overview of carbide and PCD (polycrystalline diamond) materials. An interactive segment will engage attendees in recognizing red flags such as casing issues, breakage, cavities, pores, and scratches—all of which signal substandard wire dies. The session will delve into the causes and consequences of material defects, including their impact on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Attendees will receive a practical checklist to evaluate superior products based on manufacturing processes, material consistency, traceability, and supplier expertise. The webinar will also cover testing methods to prove quality, the role of traceability and certifications, and the latest innovations in carbide materials.
This webinar is organized by The Wire Association International’s Education Center and Hyperion Materials & Technologies.
