American Wire Works acquires Ace Metal

American Wire Works Strengthens U.S. Manufacturing with Ace Metal Acquisition

American Wire Works (AWW) acquired Ace Metal, Inc., a family-owned maker of metal spools and tubular wire carriers in Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania. The deal expands AWW’s U.S. manufacturing capabilities and supports customers in demanding industrial sectors.

Ace Metal, founded in 1946, brings nearly 80 years of domestic manufacturing experience. Its expertise fits AWW’s focus on supplying wire solutions for aerospace, defense, energy, and infrastructure markets. The acquisition strengthens AWW’s production depth and improves responsiveness and service.

Enhancing Innovation in Wire and Packaging Solutions

“By bringing Ace Metal into the AWW group, we strengthen U.S.-based manufacturing and innovation in the wire industry,” said Phil Fusacchia, President and Owner of American Wire Works. He noted that the acquisition builds on AWW’s investments in modernizing operations and improving service. It helps AWW better support existing clients and new industry partners.

The transaction lets AWW expand product offerings in metal spools and wire carriers. It also helps optimize manufacturing by using Ace Metal’s specialized know‑how. Because AWW has used these products for decades, the company can now design more tailored, customer‑specific packaging and handling solutions.

Ace Metal Rebrands as Ace Metal Works Under AWW

Ace Metal will exhibit again at Interwire this year under its new name, Ace Metal Works. It will continue operating from the current Clifton Heights facility. AWW has retained Ace Metal’s skilled workforce, preserving important technical knowledge. Fusacchia plans to attend Interwire to meet customers and industry peers.
