JDR wins Middle East service contract

JDR, part of the TFKable Group, has secured a contract with Larsen & Toubro to test 14 subsea umbilical cables for Middle East offshore platforms. Managed from JDRโ€™s U.K. service center, the project includes pre-deployment and integration testing, with full offshore technical support ensuring operational reliability.

JDR Cable Systems, part of the TFKable Group, has secured a new service contract to test 14 subsea umbilical cables for offshore platforms in the Middle East. The agreement strengthens JDRโ€™s role as a global subsea cable supplier and service provider supporting complex offshore energy projects.

Indian multinational Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a leader in EPC projects and high-tech manufacturing, awarded the offshore service contract to JDR. The project will run from JDRโ€™s U.K. service center in Newcastle, where teams will coordinate multiple offshore mobilizations to test all 14 umbilicals across several platforms.

JDRโ€™s specialist offshore team will provide on-site support throughout two major scopes of work that cover multiple offshore platforms. Technicians will rotate offshore with dedicated test equipment to ensure each umbilical meets performance and reliability requirements during every project phase.

The scope of work focuses on the safe and efficient operation of the umbilical cables. JDR will conduct pre-deployment testingmonitoring during lay operations, and integration testing to verify system performance. Throughout installation and integration, JDR will supply offshore technicians, equipment, and technical support to properly monitor and validate the umbilicals.
