Lesjӧfors Group opens new plant in Poland, has also made investment in Pune, India

Lesjöfors Strengthens Manufacturing Network in Eastern Europe

The Lesjöfors Group expanded its production capacity in Eastern Europe by opening a new spring and pressing facility in Marki, Poland, adjacent to an existing plant operated by its subsidiary, Alcomex. The expansion reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to meet rising customer demand while strengthening its presence in the region.

The Marki site specializes in tension and torsion spring manufacturing, dividing custom spring production between two dedicated facilities. This expansion allows Lesjöfors to increase both spring production and assembly volumes, improving efficiency and service delivery.

Supporting Lesjöfors’ Global Growth Strategy

Acquisitions remain a key part of our growth strategy,” said Ola Tengroth, CEO of Lesjöfors Group. He explained that the company continues to seek expansion opportunities through strategic investments and partnerships. Lesjöfors now operates more than 50 production and technical sales offices across Europe, America, and Asia, demonstrating its strong global footprint.

Alcomex Expands Capabilities in Europe and India

Alcomex, headquartered in the Netherlands, employs over 300 people across nine strategic locations, including Opmeer (Netherlands), Moravany u Brna (Czech Republic), Goch (Germany), Marki and Nędza (Poland), Paris (France), Pune (India), Sibiu (Romania), and Valencia (Spain).

Alcomex designs and manufactures door springs and industrial springs under three main brands: AlcomexHZ Solutions, and VIOD. Founded in 1992, the company became part of Lesjöfors in 2021, expanding the group’s portfolio of spring technologies.

Advanced Manufacturing Investment in India

Lesjöfors also made significant new technology investments at Alcomex’s standard stock door spring facility in Pune, India. These upgrades include state-of-the-art production lines, advanced storage systems, and enhanced shipping capabilities. This investment increases output capacity while supporting the company’s goal of delivering precision-engineered springs worldwide.

Through this expansion, Lesjöfors continues its mission to combine innovation, quality, and global reach—solidifying its place as one of the leading spring manufacturers in the international market.
