Pantheon Electric Launches Platform Uniting Four Copper and Electrification Manufacturers
Pantheon Electric has launched as a new electrification platform that brings together four specialized manufacturers under one brand and operating structure.
The platform combines the capabilities of International Wire Group (IWG), Hussey Copper, EMS Elektro Metall Schwanenmรผhle, and Special Corde. Together, the companies now form a vertically aligned group focused on copper conductors, busbars, and high-current electrification components.
The integration reflects a strategic push to support large-scale infrastructure, electrification, and energy-transition markets.

International Wire Group Led the 2025 Acquisition Strategy
International Wire Group (IWG) completed three acquisitions in 2025 that created the foundation for Pantheon Electric.
The company acquired:
- Hussey Copper in the United States
- EMS Elektro Metall Schwanenmรผhle in Germany
- Special Corde in Italy
Each transaction expanded IWGโs electrification capabilities and broadened its global product reach.
IWG specializes in copper conductors and wire used to transmit electrical power and signals across multiple industries.
Hussey Copper Adds Busbar and Power Infrastructure Materials
Hussey Copper, headquartered in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania, manufactures copper bar, plate, and strip products.
These materials serve as critical components in:
- electrical equipment
- busbar systems
- power distribution infrastructure
While IWG focuses on conductors, Hussey Copper supplies the solid copper bars and shapes that distribute high currents inside electrical systems. Together, the businesses support both signal transmission and power distribution.
EMS and Special Corde Extend the Electrification Value Chain
Copper bar and strip products also feed into the production systems at EMS Elektro Metall Schwanenmรผhle, located in Horbach, Germany.
EMS transforms copper bar and strip into:
- laminated busbars
- flexible busbars
- high-current connectors
- power distribution assemblies
These components support demanding electrification applications.
Special Corde, based in Gioia Sannitica, Italy, produces fine wire, copper rope, and specialty conductors designed for high-performance industrial and electrification markets.
Together, the four businesses span the value chain from raw copper formats to engineered high-current components.
Pantheon Electric Targets Electrification and Data Center Growth
After completing the acquisitions, the combined organization launched Pantheon Electric as its global operating brand.
The platform now operates with a unified leadership structure, headquarters, and brand identity.
Pantheon Electric aims to support large and technically demanding customers, including:
- data center developers
- automotive OEMs
- utilities
- renewable energy providers
The integrated structure allows the group to offer a broader portfolio that includes wire, cable, busbars, and high-current copper assemblies.
The model also improves purchasing leverage, logistics coordination, and technical integration across the organization.
Olympus Partners Supports the New Electrification Platform
Pantheon Electric operates with backing from Olympus Partners, a private equity firm based in Stamford, Connecticut.
