Cable Supply for Petrochemical Growth
Prysmian will deliver a full range of low- and medium-voltage power cables, along with instrumentation, control, and telecom cables. These systems will support plant operations and improve connectivity across the facility.
The cables will serve the OSBL (Outside Battery Limits) Phase 1 Expansion Project. Construction will begin this year, and Prysmian will manufacture the cables at its facilities in China, with delivery scheduled later in the year.
Supporting a Key Industrial Hub
JG Summit Petrochemicals Group (JGSPG) includes JG Summit Petrochemical Corporation, the country’s largest polyolefins producer, and JG Summit Olefins Corporation, which operates the only naphtha cracker plant in the Philippines.
The company runs a 250-hectare complex in Batangas City, located about 120 km south of Metro Manila. This facility plays a key role in the country’s petrochemical and industrial supply chain.
Strengthening Regional Capabilities
Prysmian stands out as the only regional supplier capable of delivering the full range of required cable solutions. This capability gives the company a competitive edge in large-scale industrial projects.
The partnership also opens new opportunities, as JG Summit continues to expand in petrochemicals and LNG markets. Prysmian aims to support this growth with advanced cable technologies and reliable supply.
